If you only use super anti spy ware to scan your computer about once a month or more if you think your infected and set AVG to keep the pests out in real time. You may find your computer will run ok. Please note LIMEWIRE, which is a good download program, does cause your system to slow down when connected to the Internet, so when not in use then its best to close it via right mouse click on the icon in the task bar. I find that there are a lot of files on these download programs are viruses, so check the size of the files before downloading. I had a computer once that had 11,000 viruses.   

 

MSN Messenger (all versions windows to live)not working.

Check your system clock. In Windows click on the time and correct it in the dialog box that is shown.
